The Mount Shasta Ski Park started its operation from 21st December in the midst of plentiful snow. On Friday, there was a little storm; but, still people poured in to experience the joy of skiing. The storm continued and on Monday, the Mount Shasta Ski Park reported 58 inches show at the lodge and 84 – inches show at the top of Douglas.

Jim Mullins, the marketing manager of the park, told that their crew did a nice job to get the park ready in time. He thanked Ski Patrol. Tubing area is the highlight of the season and it is located near the Marmot lift.

He added that they used the Magic Carpet conveyor to get the tubers most of the way up the two hundred and fifty foot hill. A little hike takes people to the top. Their staffs are on duty to look after the work.

The tubing region is open from 4 pm to 9 pm. Visitors cannot carry tubes from outside, they are provided with tubes. Tubers, who are under 18 years of age, must sign consent from their parents. Forms are available at the park or at the website of the Ski Park.

Mullins told that they have a new year’s party for the whole family and the tubing area will also be open. Lift tickets will cost US$ 20. He added that they will have fireworks, DJs, foods and fire dancers. They officials are expecting it to be a great event.
