Mount Shasta lady continues her charity work

It all started more than twelve years ago with pipe cleaners handed to the kids for their very first toys. KIRF INDIA, a non profit organization, founded by Mount Shasta lady Diane Kirwin. She has worked hard to transform parts of Bodhgaya in India to help the poor. she describe this place as the poorest of the poor in this country. With her volunteer's efforts this non profit organization provides a nutrition program, has built a school, installed eight wells, planted trees, started a medical clinic as well as founded a sewing school where local women comes to learn and also makes a living with their skills.

Diane Kirwin is seventy seven years old. This year surgeries stopped her form visiting India. One dedicated volunteer Denni Pearson fortunately managed to go to India this year and that boosted everyone's morale. Denni distributed much required sweaters as well as to bring the school uniforms up to par.

Kirwin told that they all were grateful to Denni Pearson for working very hard to give uniforms for all students. These uniforms have given their students dignity which is heart warming to behold. Denni is one of 5 sisters from Australia, and three of whom went to Indian with their husbands and kids to India to support KIRF INDIA.

Kirwin added that Denni and two of her sisters brought the whole families. Their husbands and children play cricket and soccer with the kids at the school. Their presence was really a tremendous boost to the morale of the school. She also dais that she is really looking forward to visit to India next year.
