Castle Lake is the largest, deepest, and most captivating alpine lake in the Mt. Shasta area. It is located 11 miles west from the city of Mount Shasta with a forest service campground situated in a wooded area at an elevation of 5,400 feet. You can ice fish in the winter or swim in the summer!
